Sehr unterhaltsamer Mix vom Shooting-Star der elektronischen Musik. Größtenteils mit eigenen Tracks gespickt. Fett.

“Over the past 3 months I’ve been inundated with so many requests to air more of James Blake’s music.

For now we are all playing the waiting game, but not for much longer!!

I’ve asked James if we could possibly re-visit the mix he made for electronic explorations back in April may time 2009 … which he is more than happy to agree too!!

So the next 20 minutes your gonna hear the original version of limit to your love, tracks by Pinch Untold, Mount Kimble and Mala,

Enjoy”

Eine Art Werbung für ihre anstehende Compilation haben die beiden Kerle von Modeselektor gemacht.

“After the festival season 2010 ends it’s time to show a sign of life as Modeselektor. So it happens impressively with the kick start of a new album series called Modeselektions. Accompanied by carefully selected events around the globe Modeselektor invited 20 of their current favourite electronic music artists to participate with unreleased and exclusive tracks, of which 18 are to be found on this CD.

Names like 2562 (A Made Up Sound), Robag Wruhme (Wighnomy Brothers), Marcel Dettmann, Shed, Mala (Digital Mystikz), Tadd Mulinix (Dabrye, James T. Cotton), Feadz, Siriusmo, Apparat, Ramadanman, Ikonika, Cylob and many more sound impressive not only to hippsters and specialists, DJs and journalists, but also to the „normal” fan of electronic music.”

Sehr schöner melodischer Track von Dusty Kid.

Boxer Recordings is gearing up to bring you something „Different.“ On November 8th, they will release their next compilation. Aptly titled, „Different“ is Packed with twenty-one brand new tracks from the likes of Gui Boratto, Khan, Frank Martiniq, Rodriguez Jr, Martin Eyerer, Dusty Kid, and Odyzë, to name a few, and they have each produced something for this album that is different from their usual sound or style, creating a very interesting and well curated compilation. Here is the new video Dusty Kid’s „Nemur,“ which can be found on Disc 2 of „Different.“ Enjoy!

XL8R Podcast Nr. 168 by Toddla T

Check den neuesten Podcast von Toddla T. Geiles Teil.

The hubbub surrounding Ninja Tune’s 20th anniversary has featured a lot of looks back at the label’s history and accomplishments over the last two decades, but while it’s fun to look back at the imprint’s storied past, it’s important to remember that it also has a vibrant future, thanks in no small part to artists like Toddla T. The young Sheffield producer’s high-octane mix of dancehall and bass-heavy electronic sounds has been crashing its way onto dancefloors for a few years now—we first tabbed him as an Artist to Watch in the summer of ’09—so we’re thrilled to add him to the list of participants in the XLR8R podcast series. As expected, his mix is a hyperactive affair, but Toddla manages to touch on dancehall, hip-hop, electro, grime, and even drum & bass over the course of just 38 minutes. The boy may not be long on attention span, but he certainly knows how to work the dancefloor, so listen to Toddla T work his magic and don’t forget to check back next Thursday for the final installment of our special Ninja Tune podcast series. (Hint: It’s a big one.) Also, make sure to take a look at XLR8R’s Ninja Tune XX microsite for more exclusive content, Ninja Tune XX event info, and plenty of other celebratory goodies.
