Vor einigen Tagen veröffentlichte Questlove von The Roots auf seiner Twitter-Page diese kostenlose J Dilla Tribute Mixtape mit vorrangig instrumentalen Tracks, gespielt von der Roots Band, welche eine Art Hommage an einen der größten Beatbastler aller Zeiten sein soll und dazu anregt sich ein feines Zigarrchen im Schaukelstuhl zu gönnen. Vor einiger Zeit hab ich euch den ersten Track des neuen „Blue Eyed Black Boy“ Albums der Combo vorgestellt und nun ist das Video dazu endlich im Kasten, was mir sehr gefällt. Obendrauf gibt’s noch einen fetten Remix des Tracks von RJD2. Unbedingt hören und Meinung sagen! via

Wir alle kennen ja die tollen Song’s von Kelis, wie „Bossy“ oder „Milkshake“. Jedoch sind diese schon einige Jährchen alt und es wurde lange Zeit stillt um die Gemahlin von Nasir Jones. Nun hat sie aber wieder auf sich aufmerksam gemacht, spätestens seit der Hammer Crookerscollabo ‚No Security‘. Nun kommt ende Mai ihr neues Album „Flesh Tone“ auf den Markt & das nahm sich DJ Replay zum Anlass, ein Remix-Mixtape zu basteln, welches alte Kelis-Songs aber auch neue Songs mit bekannten Elektrogrößen wie David Guetta oder Benny Benassi zusammenmixt. Das Ergebnis kann sich durchaus anhören lassen und steht für euch hier zum kostenlosen Download mit Tracklist bereit.

Nunja, vor einigen Tagen habe ich bereits ein paar Set’s des Time Warp 2010 zum Download gestellt.
